NEW Honda Fit owner here!
Hi, everyone. Glad to be here. Looks like a good forum. Bought a new Honda Fit today (base model; automatic transmission). I think I got a good deal, but would like to see what other folks paid for their Fits. The listed MSRP was $16,410, but I negotiated with the dealer down to $15,750, and got $4,000 for my Honda Civic (2005 VP 4D sedan with a dent on the roof thanks to an incident involving a garage door; originally, the dealer offered $3,200, but I got them to go up to $4,000). I also got a dealer loan at 4.74% (originally, they asked for 4.9%, but after they saw my bank had pre-approved me for 4.74%, they had no choice but to match the rate). What does everyone think about all this? Be honest! Thanks.

Trade sounds really low, but I dunno the mileage or condition. Otherwise, as always, if your happy thats all that matters.
NADA 2005 Honda Civic VP I just put in 50000 miles, but you get the idea.

it's virtually impossible to compare people's deals exactly since the dealer is gonna try to make money off the actual car sale, the trade-in, the financing terms, and then the car add-ons. if they give you a great price on one those, they'll make it up somewhere else.
I walked in with the simplest offer ever: no-trade in, and a cash purchase (no financing). Even once the deal was done and we shook hands, the next person handling the papers tried to sell me:
seat fabric protectant
paint sealant
car washes for a year
a card for discounted accessories
an aftermarket alarm
etc etc
You even have to watch for things like really high document prep fees!
Anyway - it sounds to me like you got a fine deal, but I have always sold my old cars with autotrader instead of taking the trade-in amount.
