really weird
OK, My wife and I own two fits. Her's is a 2009 auto sport, and mine is a 2010 manual sport. We have a funny thing to report. Rather than me telling you, I think it would be better for you to try it for yourself. Here is what you do:
1. Lower the back seats down.
2. Pick a day that the wind is mild.
3. Get up to about 60 mph.
4. Lower ONLY your rear two windows all the way down.
5. Report back to this post.

What happens when you go through all this. Some of us don't own Fits yet and joined this forum to get more info about our planned purchase.

Yea, I briefly thought concealing the topic a bit might result in some angry hateful replies, but took the chance. So sue me.
I sincerely did not know it was so common to get a wind reverb with other cars, and even if you did, I would have never imagined a noise like I get with my Fit.
I would never call this a serious flaw, rather, I just think it is just plain weird.
have a good day

I thought it was a good puzzler thread though. Some people are cranky, rather than move on to something they like they biotch.

Modern car are built for aerodynamics. This means windows closed to test and design them slippery for MPGs. When you open one or more windows and get it just right, it often creates a wind noise that can drive you nuts. A friend has a Lexus and if you open one of the back windows you can't hear yourself think. This is in no way a flaw of any kind.

My Durango is impossible to drive with the windows open. The "helicopter" noise is so loud and pressure oscillations so powerful that it's painful. Feels like a Huey landed inside the car.
Observation: I frequent several forums, but for some reason this one has more members with short fuses than any other I frequent. Too bad.

The first time it happen in my Fit it was like OMG that noise hurt my ears and my head! It is perfectly normal and alot of different cars do the same thing. Just keep them back windows in the up position and you will be fine.

I experimented with a few things. I noticed that if you open the front windows about a half inch, the noise goes away.
What is the title of the expert that studies this stuff? Air Pressure Oscillation Engineer?
