Wheel Stud Corrosion!?

Wheel Stud Corrosion!?
I was doing my first rotation today and ran into an odd problem. Drivers rear wheel came off real easy. Front wheel on the other hand was damn near welded on. Took a few blows from a rubber mallet to free the wheel from the hub. Upon closer examination I noticed a fine dust fell out of the lugs and there is a fair amount of corrosion on the stud. This is the first time I've remved the wheel and I've never had that much difficulty with wheels 10yrs older. Is there any compound I can use to combat this? Can I safely use teflon tape? Any ideas?

When I did my Rotors or brakes on my cars, It took me a number of smacks on the tire to get the wheels off. Usually the fronts are more stuck on there. Looks normal to me from the photos. The anti seize is a good solution.
