I also can't quite remember for sure but it was either in The Japanese Plant Quality Awards rating or something else.

I've read that the Sayama plant was newer. And majority of the residents of Sayama, which is a small town, were mostly young workers on this assembly plan. It is a pride of the Japanese auto industry in that it has some of the most modern equipment.

Also note a difference that some Fits have 100% japanese part content vs others have something like 90%. The remaining 10% is parts from Thailand, China, etc...

Does anyone have 2010 Fits still made in Suzuka? I have an impression that the latest batch of Fits are coming out of Sayama, to the US at least.

mine is a 2009 TW FIT Sport manual. it's Suzuka.

and no, i was kidding about shenzen

oh, sorry, i didn't get it.

is shenzen really a city in Japan? Well, i'm gonna have to start another thread: MPG and Assembly plant. I wanna see if there is any correlation to this "Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde" thing going on in regards to MPG....

If you look closely, the condenser is made in Thailand. If you are looking near the battery, just look straight down at the condenser (big aluminum thing like a radiator), and it should say there.

My 2005 GD1 was bolted and welded together in Ayutthaya, Thailand. I'm not based in the US.
