If not, I would just leave it and buy another CF card...
It was rattling and I could hear it sliding around when cornering.
But, it has been silent lately.
It was only a 1 GB card.

What the hell is a PC card anyway?
I just insert a CompactFlash card in my laptop!
Since that is the largest format I didn't think that it would need an adapter!

PC Cards are older...MUCH older. Here's a hint: they were already around when Windows 95 was launched.

So yes Honda's basically selling anachronistic factory radios. PC Cards have largely been superseded by CF and other card form-factors (e.g. every iteration of SD, ExpressCard, etc).

Try attaching something sticky at the end of a popsicle stick and see if the compact card can stick to it.

Take it to the dealer if it doesn't work, but I believe they will charge you labor.

PC card is also known as a PCMCIA card. My brother's 386 Windows 3.1 laptop had a PCMCIA slot in the side. The Very first digital cameras used them and you could get PC card Flash memory in larger capacities than CF. Currently it provides a benefit in that you can pick up a Card adapter that supports any digital memory format (Sony MS, CF, SD, etc...) although the industry standard is essentially SD at this point. It is still useful standard however it is being replaced in the PC world by Express card and in the automotive world by USB and SD.
