I dont think it looks too bad actually. It would look worse if any other colored Fit had chrome rims but black can be pulled off.

I think the pinstripe doesn't add anything to the car, chrome is nice, i think that stripe is taking away from the clean look I assume your trying to acheive. I bought my 99 civic used and it has the same kind of stripe, I hate it, heh. but w/e it's my beater now.

Okay , if I decide to take the pin stripe off, what's the best way to do it? Will it just peel off easily if I manage to grab a corner?

Now that I've looked at it a few of times, I agree... lose the pinstripe! It takes away from the overall clean look of the car. The wheels waaaayy out-class that pinstripe... pinstripe is too casual in comparison.

Only another opinion.

Unless it has a layer of clear coat over it, get a local (experienced and dependable) detailer to look at it. He'll either do it for fairly cheap or tell you how to get rid of it yourself. I saw a detailer buff a pinstripe off of a car one time. He was using a high-speed buffer and some kind of compound or mildly gritty substance.

Shouldn't be too difficult... again, if it hasn't been clear coated.
