I am wondering what is the difference between the GE8 JDM and USDM headlight housing. I know for a fact that the JDM headlight do not fit the USDM front end, but the question is why? I don't see what is the difference between the two by looking at pictures. Is one bigger/smaller than the other or are they different shapes?

 

The USDM nose being longer for crash test purposes, I'd imagine that the mounting points might be different as well as being (incrementally) different in shape.

From the side they do look different to me....
