No Fit in Honda TV Ad

I have never seen the Fit once on Honda TV ads. I just saw one ad on TV with every car in the Honda product line except the Fit. Is it because Honda not counting on Fit to make profit? I am kind of upset that the Fit got excluded from the fleet.

I actually remember seeing a TV ad for the Fit ONCE last year. I suspect that Honda sells all the Fits they want to import without having to advertise. Given the falling value of the dollar vs the yen, I suspect that Honda sees very little profit from this car, so they aren't exactly pushing the car in the US market.

If they actually begin producing the Fit in North America, I suspect that will change.

I saw a commercial just the other day with a fit. I dunno...maybe it's because I only have 7 channels, haha!

which TV ad did you see? I saw the one where most of their cars had surfboards on top and went to the beach, but I did notice a fit. I wasn't up front but it was in the little caravan, just had to look to notice it.

Are you talking about the one where they pan through different scenes and talks about everyone driving hondas? because there is a similar type of ad that shows the fit. I think it's a series of different ads, and in the particular one that you saw the fit was not shown.

honda bought a lot of commercial time for the fit during last year's NFL season.
those commercials were exclusively for the fit.

but in their "full line" commercials, you wouldn't even know they make a fit. lol.

If it's the 'happy honda days' commercial, I think it makes a one second appearance. You gotta look close and not blink or you'll miss it. At least I think it was a Fit. But then at the end, it doesn't make an appearance in the lineup.

I saw the beach one aslong with the fuel sipper commercial (one with mosquito gas-sucking cars chasing the Fit)

I saw a base SSM Fit in the Allstate commercial where the guy is talking about discounts and the guy buying a newspaper next to him says "NO WAI" Though you have to look very carefully for that one too.

My local dealer actually shows MY Fit in his commercials. Before I bought the car, it was displayed in the showroom, and they show a picture of the showroom with my very own orange Fit front and center in the commercial. How cool is that?

I've seen the going to the beach one including the fit and the one where they say "everyone knows someone that loves a honda"--my kids have also seen that (I'm a teacher) because they constantly tell me they've seen that commercial and that it's true! (because they know me!)

In previous years Honda would advertise the GD and GE during NFL games. This year I've only seen the commercial that kingofpicklez is talking about

Honda is counting on the fit to make profit. Which is why a commercial isn't needed. Fits get sold so fast where I live. Commercials are mainly for vehicles that aren't being noticed. When the fit was first released I saw commercials everyday, as well as ads in magazines. Its no longer needed. Don't you remember "The FIT is GO!" and remember a commercial with cars eating each other and then the fit ate the SUV.

i think those who say that Honda doesn't need to advertise the Fit may be on the right track. The current issue of Newsweek has a "Some people give fruitcakes. We give value." ad for 0.9% financing. Pictured in the ad are an Accord, Fit, Insight, and Civic. When you read the fine print, you see that the 0.9% applies only to "select Civic models." No incentives are needed for cars that are already selling well.

Selling on its own, and it has a low profit margin that they don't want to lose to advertising.

Though I was surprised not to see the Fit in the "Dog Sled Race" spot seeing as how it's probably the second most dog-friendly car in the lineup behind the Element.

If you are selling all you make or import without a problem, why spend money on commercials?
