Boredom Strikes!
So in my boredom I decided to pull out the underglow LEDs (It was fun for a while, but really who does it anymore) Not wanting to let the LED strips go to waste I cam up with an... interesting idea.
from the side
from the front
with the headlights on from the side.
when you raise the hood - the lights become engine bay lights.
what it would look like in daylight
with the iphone crappy camera its very hard to tell but the leds actually light up the outside edge of the headlights and provide a soft glow inside.
Once again hard to tell but the entire headlights are lit up.
This one helps to show how the entire headlight glows. had to shine a light near the headlight to trick the iphone's camera.
another view.
Just to state the obvious these are wired to my dome light switch (still wired with a relay so i have the option to overide and keep the lights on indefinitely) I dont plan on riding around with this on.
I'm not sure if I'll keep them but for now I'll leave 'em on and see if they grow on me or not. They seem slightly less 'ricer'ish' than the underglows they replaced. I must admit I like the dual function of having headlight accent lights when the hood is down and engine accent lights when the hood is up.
EDIT: the lights do not light up the grille. that is a seperate set up.

Can you get a pic from a distance? So we can see the whole front of the car and what it looks like (both day and night).
usually I think the LEDs around the headlights seem a little cliche' but if those look anything like the photos, it's not bad. The vertical positioning gives it kind of an "angry eyebrows" kind of look.
Be careful about the blue and red... they aren't legal to be on when driving but you probably know that already having the "underglow" prior.

Lol yeah I know they're illegal that's why I have em wired in with the dome lights only comes on when I enter or leave the car or unlock with the security system or right after you shut off the engine. I do have a switch set up to turn them on if I did want to drive with them on though.
