I got rid of my 2009 Fit Sport....**PICS**
Before:
2009 Honda Fit Sport
Very slow & have trouble accelerating when AirConditioning is on
After:
Zoom...Zoom...
2010 Mazdaspeed 3
Wicked fast and luxurious compare to the fit.

It's a really nice car man, and I guess you can just swap out the front "lip" at some point?? I'm sure once you drive it your hooked regardless. Anyway, congrats - glad you like it!

"luxurious compare to the fit"
Uhm, of course it's more luxurious when compared to the fit... it's MSRP *STARTS* at $23,945. That's, what? At least 5k more than the 09 Sport MSRP? And over 10K more than I paid for my 09 Base!

My cuzin has this car and i have the fit and im sorry it is really fun to drive but the interior is almost the same unless you got the leather one which is like 26k. Space and the rear leg room is smaller cargo is a bit wider, personally to each its own i wish i would have it speed wise. Just a hint, dont come to the old forum and bash the car you owned.

Sounds to me you never should have got the Fit in the first place. Not the right car for you.
The speed3's are the best bang for the buck imo. I hate to say it.... I will never buy a fwd car again with 260+ hp.
Torque steer is way to pain in the ars on fwd cars. 260+ hp and 280 tq should only be in awd or rwd cars.
Also have fun getting 18mpg city 25 mpg on the hwy too.
Remember that when your stuck in traffic and all us Fit owners are passing you at the gas station getting 32 mpg city .
Its nice to have power but anything over 200hp imo is worthless on public streets. Just gets you in trouble easier.
It did me ;-)
Anyways good luck with all your ventures.

When looking for a new car last summer, the Fit Sport and Mazda 3 hatch were my two finalists. I liked the looks of both (not a fan of the new smiley face Mazda -- except with addition of the teeth!), and I really liked the power of the bigger engine, and the way the Mazda handled. It was quieter than the Fit, and seemed to be finished a little nicer inside. However, in the end, I couldn't justify the added cost for a car that was bigger on the outside (I have a very short garage), smaller on the inside, and returned considerably worse gas mileage, and had a worse (though still good) reliability record.
In the end, choosing a car is a very personal choice, and you go with what you like -- hopefully without choosing the wrong car and taking a bath to get the one you really wanted in the first place. Congratulations on finding a car that "fits" your needs.

Well I think you're an idiot for coming on here and posting this crap. You say the Speed is better, well something should be better for 7-8 thousand more dollars (or more) than I spent on my Fit Sport. Genius.
These two cars aren't even in the same category, moron.
Have fun with your insurance skyrocketing, dick.

Wow, this thread is awesome! I'm sure this guy never expected such a backlash and was hoping more for a "congrats on the new purchase" type of response. This is what I love about Honda/Fit owners. Brand loyalty and the pride we take in our vehicles.

I always liked the 3. Almost got a Protege5 when I bought my Civic back in 2002. I also like the 5. But like Vash, I just can't get past the relationship between Ford and Mazda. They say Ford has turned the corner but I've been burned by Ford too many times. I doubt I would ever risk $20k or more to find if it's true.
