Anybody scuff the front bumper on a parking curb yet?

I only rubbed the under part going into and back out of a driveway. I won't be doing that again in that driveway. The sound of it was not fun. I cringed for sure, but nothing is visable and I don't know for sure if anything was really scratched up. As for parking, I've adjusted my perception of the front end to avoid problems. It's a short car, so no need to pull it tight like my past car. It's all perception because there is no way to even eyeball the front end. It's completely invisable to me. So, I simply leave some room and it works out. I haven't had a problem with speed bumps yet. Stock, the car seems to clear them all. It's a big reason why I have no plans to ever lower my Fit.

Hey Dan, yeah, no worries on my end. Really steep driveway. I'm fat. My wife's big boned. And I like to drive it like i stole it. Seriously though, in the big picture of things, its just a bumper. Not sure the "scratch bar" is designed to do much more than divert air around the underside of the car for minisculely improved aerodynamics. Maybe it's supposed to scrape first and warn of further impeding doom? Who knows. All i know is it looked a lot better once I pulled off the remaining hanging bits of clear vinyl from the front of it. Compliments the black scratches under my white bumper quite nicely.
My driveway's got a little dip at the end for water to run through (Kind of a Gutter) and in the winter, it fills with snow and Ice from the plows... That's usually when I scrape a tiny bit but if the family is fully loaded, I think that black strip under will occasionally scrap if I don't angle the car out.

I hit mine on the pavement pulling out of the parking lot at the grocery store here in town. Normally I wouldn't have, but a sizeable pothole developed right at the dip in the street, and that extra drop was all it took.
I've dragged the black lip backing out of my driveway last winter when the frost heaved the ground at the end of the driveway.
Surprisingly, I dragged the nose of my last car ('02 Dodge Neon) much more easily. the Fit nose is rounded, making it easier to keep off the ground, as long as you remember to cross dips at an angle.

Scraped Bumper help please?
Scraped the front lower bumper on my black 2010 base Fit. Pretty much surface scratches - is this something I can fix myself (no experience) - or do I have to go to a body shop? If I can fix it - can you tell me what to buy and how to do it?
