will GD shocks fit in GE springs?

I noticed another member put Mugen suspension from a GD onto the GE. Right now I'm lowered on Eibach Pro-Kits. However I'm really not satisfied with the way the car bounces repeatedly when going over bumps and I get a lot of body roll still. When summer comes around I'll definitely be getting wider tires. In the mean time I would like to upgrade the shocks but nothing is available. I don't want to drop more money on the T1R B2s yet. Just I like the ride height of the pro-kits and adjustability is not a concern for me. Just want stiffer shocks to go with the springs.

Any suggestions? Tokico's still not coming out with anything and neither is Koni

GD springs will install no problem and lower the car about 20-25mm, but there are a few concerns with the GD struts fitting on the GE.

A lot of the problem comes from the standard GE8 Struts and Shocks, they are too soft for lowering springs, hence slightly more bounce and roll on uneven roads.

Update:

If I were you, I'd slot the rear springs in first to test and check the ride height. Rear springs can be fitted in about 15 minutes.

Eibach Pro-Kits like many other progressive lowering springs are softer than stock at the top and harder at the bottom of the spring.

On perfect roads progressive lowering springs are great, but on slightly uneven road surfaces you will feel more sway, bounce and roll at slower speeds because the car is driving on the softer part of the spring.

The problem is, it's hard to find linear lowering springs for the GE that's why many people use the stock GD springs on the front.

These springs are the same diameter at the top and bottom, a bit shorter and a little stiffer.

Other cheaper options are to turn over the progressive front springs as they are the same diameter top and bottom or fit a quality spring stiffener at the top of the spring.

On another forum I read people actually wrap hose pipe around the top coils and it helps a bit.

nice info Lek

i wonder how long the struts would last if you pair with aftermarket coils?
In KL .. the road is uneven and potholes is like hell .. (bangkok is slightly better than here) so can we presume lifespan of oem shocks with lowering spring will deteriorated strut lifespan in short?

While this is all good information, I do not think it is answering the OP's question. It is also a question I have had for some time. If that one user on here was able to put the full GD mugen suspension on his GE, what keeps us from using the T1R struts/shocks developed for the GD on our GE chassis utilizing our aftermarket GE springs?

The GD springs fit perfect on the GE, but there are some fitting issues with the front GD struts on the GE.
