Lovin the new jazz/fit...

I test drove the new Honda jazz/fit(Manual/Navigation) for the first time today and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I liked everything from the exterior-in. The steering wheel is nice and very useful. You can control everything from it. The driver and passenger seats are very comfortable and have a nice feel to them. The back seats are just as comfortable with plenty of leg space. With the back seats up the trunk space is limited. But when you fold the seats down you have just about the same size as a Honda CR-V trunk with the seat folded up. Impressive. I did notice that the clutch is a bit soft and the gas is a bit sensitive. But it was fairly easy to adapt to. The only problem I have with the car is probably the engine. I know it's only 107 horses but it sounds like it's trying too hard if any of you guys know what I'm talking about. 1st & 2nd gear especially. I also think that they should add a 6th gear. But overall, this car is awesome!

Not really qualifed to say "welcome," but welcome anyway.

One of the first things I noticed about the 5AT is the short 1st and 2nd gears...but I got used to it quick enough.

The 5MT I test drove had the same soft-clutch feel....great for manual noobs, I suppose. It certainly is more fun to drive, but I opted-out of MT is because of my hell commutes.

Watsoff there is no "qualification" for anything around here. It is what it is man! Yeah I went with the A/T as well. My wife did not enjoy my enthusiastic test drive with MT and cannot drive MT herself so..... BKim you hit the nail on the head with this car, glad to have another believer! Buy one and you can be like one of usssss!

Note: if you want to buy the manual with navi and VSA you need to buy the 2009 model while you can still find them. 2010 doesn't have the VSA/Navi with manual transmission.

BKim: Welcome...

I def. agree the Fit is a great little car. There is lots of reasons why we chose this little car.

Just a small correction though but there is 117hp not 107hp . Not a big difference but it def. helps. This car is not about hp though. Esp. when you see 33 mpg in the city and 40 mpg hwy and can have the versatility just like a CUV. Also since you didn't mention I wanted to mention the magic seats. Yes the seats fold down to have CRV space but the seats also fold up to have a unique storage space for tall objects. Make sure you check this feature out. I use it quite a bit.

Thanks all for the welcoming. I do plan on buying one soon. I should go drive an AT just to see if I like the short 1st and 2nd gears. It's not a race car so I don't really need a MT. Hmmmm you guys got me thinking(watsoff & reako). Haha

Interestingstuff....I don't care too much for the Navi. But good to know! It seems as though MD is the only state with Fit's. The dealership I went to had about 15 fits. There's no shortage here.

Committobefit08 ahhhh 117hp that's right. It feels like 107, haha but yea I did get to check out that feature. I can see that being very useful.
