lmfao, the owner of that car has a mustang as well.

PM ghettoboy247. he'll sell what you see on that picture to you.

but if you have a way to get it through Honda,
1) Right STD light assy, P/N 33500-TFO-003
2) Left STD light assy, P/N 33550-TFO-003

Same in Oz. I think they are stock on all Thai made models. They probably don't comply with some rule in the US re tail light/indicator/brake lamp size/placement/colour, hence different design for USDM.

At one point there was a swap thing going for USDM people wanting the Thai /JDM ones and vise versa.

dumb question, but is the Fit RS the East/SE Asian version of the Fit Sport? I don't remember seeing any in Bangkok, but maybe I didn't look so hard.

I'm pretty sure Fit RS is JDM only.

Technically the Fit RS is just the JDM GE8.

Japan and other countries around the world also get the GE6, fitted with the 1.3L L13A VTEC engine with 100HP at the crank.

I think the reason behind the redesign for the USDM Fit tails was due to the requirement to have a rear facing red reflector and an outward facing red reflector incorporated into the light.

Doesn't look like the ones in the photo incorporate any reflector.

There must be one in there somewhere. I'm pretty sure we have a similar requirement. Is it still legal in the US to use a flashing brake light for a turn signal, rather than a separate amber one?

It's on the base jdm model. We call them jdm base tails. Yes they are plug and play if they are complete. There was an exchange program going on little bit ago. $ I saw was 230usd. Look at the exhaust clips of ghettoboy's tanabe med exhaust and see them being used.

and as far as I know, the Fit RS is lame due the fact that it is a sport with a mugen kit, with zero upgrades.

I was going through a lot of the tail light laws the other night. As long as its a separate bulb from the brake lights the blinker for the rear of the vehicle can be red or amber and anything in between. The front can be white or amber and anything in between. (I think)

As for the reflector requirement, I know we have both in the USDM tail lights but I haven't gotten to look closely at any JDM base tails. I know someone can enlighten us.

They have these tails for sale on A&J Racing's site. Says it's a direct replacement with no modifications needed:

A&J Racing :: Exterior :: Lighting :: JDM Honda Tail Light Set - Honda Fit 09+ (GE8)
