2009 Fit Rims? Any Good Ones?

I just bought a 2009 Storm Silver Fit. Does anyone have any recommendations of possibly low profile rim/tire combinations that look great? I am looking for rim/tire combinations that are relatively cheap, yet good looking. I prefer rims that are chrome, gun metal, or black, but am open to any other options.

Thank you.

Is it going to be stock height?

Only thing I can recommend is 16" SSR Type Cs with 195/45-16, 185/55-16 or 205/45-16. Shouldn't have any problems with the Type Cs rubbing since its 44mm offset.

Konig Helium wheels with your choice of tires. If you're looking for cheap, I'd say General UHPs. If you need something a bit stickier, Dunlop Direzza star specs.

SSRs aren't cheap.

They're $249/wheel at tirerack now for Anthracite close to gunmetal. Not to bad I say.

You can buy two 16x7 Konig Helium and get them shipped for that much. And they're pretty light too. 15.4lbs

Yeah, Heliums are definitely affordable. I like the quality of SSRs so they tend to a bit more expensive.

Yeah, I agree on that one. SSR wheels are really high quality, not as high as Rays, but, Rays wheels cost 2x what SSR wheels do.

I'm looking for a decent set of SSRs for city wheels/tires. (All Seasons) OP: I'll let you know what I get.

Hello, fellow fit freakers... newbie here.

On my 09 Jazz (Fit) are MOMO Revs, 17x7.5 with 205/45/17. No rubbing Issues, and am quite satisfied with the ride quality. I have no plans of dropping it, the stock height is good enough for me.

Will post pics when I get home.

MB Wheels makes a nice chrome 5 spoker called the Drifter. Not too expensive either.

As for the Final Speed wheels, I cannot find it in my cam phone anymore, I think I already deleted it. Sorry.

I've got the base and the 175/65-15 tires that come on that are tiny. I didn't think it was a big deal at first, this is my commuter car after all. However, after my second week in the car I've noticed that they have a really uneasy feeling at speed on the grooved concrete highway (I5 in San Diego).

One option would be to plus size the tires for ~$300. I'm hoping that the extra width and a better quality tire would prevent that feeling the tires are locking into the grooves.

The other option is to step up to a nice wheel/tire combo, but with TMPS, I can't seem to find a deal that fits into my budget.

Any suggestions/alternatives?

I have some '08 Honda accessory wheels on my 09 base in Storm Silver. I love the look and they came with new TPMS sensors! I just need snap-on to come out with an update for the scan tool at work so I can reprogram them without paying the dealer.

I went with 205/50/16 tires, and they hunt ruts more than the stock tires, but have tons more grip. I think the stock base tires are downright dangerous... their grip level is way below what I would expect out of a car tire and they have a horrible time handling wet roads. The base Fit on stock tires reminds me of the Lumina I took drivers ed in... only the Lumina had a bit more grip in corners.

I went up to 195 width tires, and combined with hawk brake pads, I can stop unexpectedly quick. I freaked out some guy coming into a round-about the other day.

Width is that you want, not so much the diameter. Remember the rule about un-sprung rotational mass....
