Anyone install a CB radio?
I searched quite a bit but couldn't come up with anything. Installing a CB isn't really the question- any car can have one. My question is- has anybody done so with a decent and/or creative mounting job- pics too maybe? I also run an amplifier- up to 400 watts. Shhhhh- don't tell Anyone have trouble pushing that kind of wattage in their sport fit, or have you upped the altenator?
I'm not expecting much info here about this, but I figured I'd see. The one thing I'll miss in my clunker-for-fit is my long range talkin CB!

My dad had that same thing on a 78 Eldorado. Was part of the HU if I remember right and had controls on the mic

I haven't quite figured out how to approach this in the fit yet. Thank you for that link, btw. I have a Cobra 148 and a 400 watt amp, with a Wilson 1000 antenna. It's a serious rig for long talking- not just local traffic stuff. I think I'd bring the battery to it's knees. And the radio itself isn't small. I don't want to do a permanent mount of the antenna either, nor do I want to sacrifice the paint for my magna mount. All things considered, I'm holding off for now. The radio has been fairly dead for quite a while, so it seems I'm not missing much anyway.
