These pics do it justice. I would have to say the tire wheel combo is in the top 10%. Would subtle be the right word?

Now that wiper has to get a woody -;

Now it is matter of time before you scrape. Damn I thought I would not but I did it.

Be glad you don't drive a GD3..... The front lip would look like your father's Studebaker after you totaled it.... Don't feel too guilty about the old Studie, I trash my fathers Lark and he gave it to me to rebuild and drive.

Hey guys...thank you so much for all the awesome comments!

I may go take some better pictures this weekend--and so I'll be sure and post those up.
I've been trying to find some better picture spots but it's difficult around here...everything is so blah.

The wheels are Rota Spec R's which are replicas of the Integra Type R Rims of yesteryear lol.

I really liked the design and the color--I almost got flat black slips but decided that I liked the spoke pattern and could swallow the little bit of weight gainage for some looks and a wider track. (the slips were 6.5)

Looks super-sweet! Even better than I had imagined before you posted pics...

Which Conti Extreme Contact did you get, the DW or the DWS? And in which aspect ratio, 205/45/16 or 205/50/16? I'm planning a very similar setup for my SSM eventually.

Congrats on the wheels!

I got the DWS just because the reviews were awesome. And we don't get a lot of snow here but we do get freezing rain/bridges stuff like that so I was hoping they would help.

I got 205/50/16 and they are awesome...looks right, no rubbing, etc etc.

Well, I guess more than a *few*
Sorry...

I REALLY need to work on exposure so the black wheels will show up better.
I only had one picture with high exposure...I'm sure you can pick it out. I just suck at taking photographs.

Yeah...I know...I guess I need to do another shoot with higher exposure.
Like I said, I suck at this.

Buut...I found some good locations for my area--there isn't much around here.

Try shooting pics near evening-time. Love the setting though, and the car, of course.

Yeah--that's a good idea...but the sunlight will be in the opposite location which may make it more difficult.

I'd really like to have a professional shoot and/or learn some techniques. If someone could shoot my car with a DSLR, I'm sure the pics would come out boatloads better.

The one pic with more exposure, the sky is completely washed out...grrr.

Sucks. It was hot as hell out there and bright so I didn't really get a chance to look at the pics and readjust...it was just like shoot shoot shoot and move on.

Do you have any more plans for Adele?

I wouldn't pay for a shoot until your car is 'done'

Yeah I don't think she will ever be 'done'...

I was thinking maybe black vinyl or di noc on the roof, a front lip or winglets--that'd probably be it exterior wise.

I'm hoping I can find a friend or friend of a friend (lol) who'd do it for some booze and a free dinner...we will see!

Very interested in your upcoming impressions on the DWS Conti's and glad there's no rubbing with that size because I want the extra sidewall protection for our less-than perfect streets...

Yeah the 205/50's are perfect.

I've already put 350 miles or so on the tires--so far so good. I plan on checking cold pressure in the morning and seeing what i come up with and maybe mess with that a little bit.

I'm no pro, but the advice I could give is to take pictures close to dawn or dusk or after a nice rain. Try to avoid distractions in the backdrop. Try to "balance" the picture. Doesn't mean the car has to be in the center, but use balanced borders and such.

Thanks BB...yeah, I'm still learning and working on it. I enjoyed just being out there though so I'm ok with that.

I will get some better pics soon. I'm asking for a tripod for Christmas so that in itself should help.

Looking good! Been following the thread since before I got my own car. I have to agree with the rest, taking photos of the car when the sun is not directly above and casting a harsh shadow, would help. Like gbaby said, it's a little tough with dark wheels. With that said, it's not impossible...it could be done with the right lighting. Maybe you can find someone local that could take the photos for you as a favor. Hell I'd do it if I wasn't so far away. Looking forward to seeing more progress with Adele.
