Welp, I think I'm gonna take the plunge.

Tried out some taping methods this afternoon--gonna get the paint soon and black out that rear diffuser.

I'll post up the results.
I'm really really nervous but you gotta take a chance, right?

Looks great. Your car has come such a long way, in a short amount of time too. I need to get off my ass and do that already. Ive been so busy Can you believe I havent washed my car since december? It looks absolutely disgusting.

Keep up the good work!

Defnitely the way it should of come from the factory. Which is surprising it doesn't since the JDM rear bumper insert is black.

Looking good.

Looks GREAT! Adele's turning out to be one fine lady!

Just a suggestion to you TW owners who have done this to your rear "diffuser." Grab Honda's 'Rear Bumper Applique':

Honda Rear Bumper Applique Fit - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories (it's obviously only $39.99 from Bernardi Parts right now... that's cheaper than any place else. Check shipping rates from the "usual" places though).

I think the [black] rear applique would set off the black "diffuser". Only my opinion, of course.

BTW, Btrthnezr3... is 'Adele' pronounced "A-dell", or is she pronounced "A-dell-ee"? Can't get a lady's name wrong, ya' know!

LOL annunc8...it's prounounced "a-dell"

Thanks for the compliments guys...I'm working on her.

I think I've decided on some time attack style rims...now which pattern? LOL.
But that will be in September.

Not sure what's up next. Probably a few little things...shift boot, interior led's, stuff like that...

Do not I say do not buy that piece of crap. I had my dealer put one on when I bought the car. It looks like crap. Corners look like someone cut them poorly with dull scissors.Way over priced too. Hell any piece of vinyl would likely provide protection. I have mine rolled up sitting in garage. $20 gets it.

Lol! I'm surprised it would look like crap (bad corners, etc.) coming from Honda. Maybe your dealer had some non-Honda appliques made for them, and those look like crap and are of bad quality? Possible?

I've seen the Honda appliques and they're professional-looking... no uneven or bad corner cuts. Are you sure it was a definite Honda OEM applique?

Anyway, thanks for warning... I'll check it out again at my friend's dealer (he knows the owner) before I actually order one. If they're crap, I wouldn't want to spend what they charge for it either.

Out of curiosity, did you have problems getting it off? Any leftover residue, paint damage, etc? I stated in another post a Honda tech said they were easy to remove, and harmless to paint after removal... using the proper materials.

Thanks B3sr.

Annun. The piece just looks cheap. Looks like something some thought would work.

Someone here suggested using hair dryer to warm it up before peeling off. I just grabbed a corner and peeled it back slow. A bit of gum residue that came off with goo gone. The paint was fine.

It is very thin. It should be a molded piece to look good.

I'm not really interested in that piece as I keep that area cleaned, clayed and waxed. Lol. I am looking forward to oem visors and grippier pedals (perhaps oem sports ones).

You're right--that would look HAWT but I doubt I can afford TE-37's unless I find them used. Chances are, I'll be getting knock-off rims. I'm a poor teacher, you know?

I think both Konig and the Grid in particular only have 40mm offset, correct?

I really want to get 45mm...I'm thinking maybe of time attack rota torques...
