Doesn't sound normal to me. 2009 Fit Sport A/T, in Atlanta heat, and while I can hear the compressor switch on and off at a stop, I have never noticed anything at speed; no dimming, no difference in power, etc.

 

I don't think the OP was talking about when he's driving. Although he never really says. I never notice the compressor or lights dimming while driving either. I do notice it when sitting at a light or in my driveway. Like I said before I think it's normal I've noticed it in a lot of cars. Even my old Integra use to do it all the time. Just more noticeable on a smaller car like the Fit.

 

It does happen when I'm driving, but it's only noticeable if I have the stereo off and it's quiet out there ... and of course, I know it's there so I'm paying attention but other people don't seem to notice it unless I tell them about it.

I'll have it checked later but I'm feeling a lot better since visiting the dealership and listening to that CV-R do it too, also because it's obviously not just my car, there seems to be a few other Fits that do it ... so it might just be a small drawback to an otherwise great car.
