2010 Fit info

I have to tell my fellow fit freaks some kinda disappointing news. We just got our shipment of 2010 brochures and there is no changes to the 2010 model from the 2009 model. VSA will not be standard and is only available for the Fit Sport with Navi. No new colors or features will be added to the the Fit lineup. I will see if there is a way I can scan or take some pics of the brochure to show you folks. I do not have any word on prices or any possible increase in price.

Have they added Bluetooth and XM to the nav model?

Is there for sure a Taffeta White going to be available for 2010?

And I'd love to see the scans/pics...

I don't know why this is disappointing. The 2009 was a completely new model so I wouldn't have expected any changes at all on the 2010. 2011 and 2012 might see a few minor changes, but nothing major until 2013.

However I have heard rumors of a Fit hybrid, but I don't know when or if it's supposed to be at dealerships.

There will be no Hybrid in the States anytime soon. It will be in Japan by the end of 2010 according to Honda.

And it is disappointing because there are some key features that Honda has the ability to add that they didn't. For me the big ones are Bluetooth and XM. I may have to reconsider some of my other choices if this is the case.

They probably won't add anything until 2011.

You can always add BT.

Bluetooth sucks. Im glad the Fit doesnt have it. I havent been in one car that has a decent bluetooth setup. And why would anyone want XM when you can just hook up an iPod?

Honda is notorious for changing things every two years. Look at the S2000, changed every 2 years. The Fit is following that same trend. I expect minor changes for 2011.

I have been in cars where it works extremely well. If I am paying for a Navigation unit, there is no way I shouldn't get those features that are on pretty much every nav system out there, including vehicles in Honda's current lineup.

Why do I want XM? Sometimes I want something different than what is on my iPod. I have enjoyed XM in the past and I know I would in the future as well. Your opinion may differ, but don't minimize my desires due to your difference in opinion.

And to keep VSA on the nav only model without adding options that should be in the nav model (xm, bt), Honda may have lost a sale. I will hold judgement for the actual brochure.

honestly I'm kinda glad. I would have been pissed if the new models got something cool that the 09's didn't have. Kinda didn't expect anything to change anyways.

what do you expect people?...look how much the GD changed from 01-08....(01-06 Not it U.S.) but still don't think there was any major changes.

Interesting turn of events. I was almost 100% sure they would add VSA standard (since they're going to have to anyway). Toyota just put VSA standard on the 2010 Yaris; I'm surprised Honda didn't follow suit, especially since the Fit is a bit more expensive.

I would be surprised to see bluetooth and XM on what is considered to be Honda's economy car. I'm glad they didn't include either of those features (IMO) as it would've driven up the cost of the car for something I would never use. I found XM to be a disappointment every time I've had it in a rental vehicle.

I personally wanted to see Bluetooth and XM in the Nav Unit only. Not in the base or base sport. If they are offering navigation in an economy car at a $2000 premium, there is no reason it shouldn't have Bluetooth and XM. So it wouldn't have driven up the price of the car unless you were planning on getting the Nav model, and even then I highly doubt we would have seen a price increase.

I am still waiting for the official word however as I have no idea who the OP is.
