Front Bottom Bumper Damage?

Front Bottom Bumper Damage?
Has anyone scratched up the bottom of their bumper yet driving a sport model? Usually coming out of driveways I scratch the black plastic peice if I go out too fast but today somehow, I got the left side of my bumper on the bottom scratched up. Has this happened to anyone and is it even worth fixing/touching up since it probably will happen again?

If nobody can see it, why worry? =) You're just driving yourself nuts like I did ... I scraped the underside of my front bumper the day after I bought the car.... It's gonna happen anytime a car only has 5 inches of frontal ground clearance.

You're gonna scrape every now and then...don't waste your money, you'll just scrape again. Probably the day after you touch it up

Yah, not so much on the GE, but I've scraped it a few times. Even though I went out on an angle and did everything right (100% absolutely no fault of mine), some areas are just prone to scratchage.

Here, too, and certainly after it was lowered. I have one of those awful V shaped driveway/road transitions, so I have to pull in and out of my driveway at an angle. And with TW, it's highly noticeable if it's bad enough.
I recenyly masked off the chin, cleaned it up and hit it with some white spray paint. I know I'll do it again in the future, so I'm not going to bust my butt trying to make it perfect. That's what I love about white - it's very forgiveable that way.

Thanks everyone...I think you are right, its bound to happen again and no one will see it since its under the bumper. I guess its just frustration for me since I just got mine a month ago. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts!

Even in stock trim I scraped a few times. Now that I'm lowered I definitely take an angle...still forget every now and then. It's unavoidable really. If only the world was really flat. Damn that Christopher Columbus dood!!!

I haven't scraped the Fit's nose yet, but it's just a matter of time before I forget or get a bit careless. It happened all the time with the Neon. There are LOTS of poorly designed intersections and driveways around here.

I saw a guy in a Jetta yesterday pull backwards off a curb stop in a parking lot. It was evidently too tall for his nose. He had popped some of his bumper clips and it looked like he'd rear-ended someone (bumper hanging off on one side).
When he pulled back a large piece of styrofoam shaped like the inside of his bumper was sitting on the ground.
He didn't see it, or hear the bumper scraping on the ground (which it was) and he just drove away.
I was in my car, waiting for a parking spot, so I couldn't flag him down.
He's going to think someone backed into him and left without leaving a note.

Yeah, don't feel pressured to pull up close like the big boys and you will be fine. Besides, when you pull in further it only makes the Fit look that much tinier compared to the other cars...
