I'm sure you won't have many rub issues. You'd probably have issues if you got bigger tires, or wider ones.

As far as bottoming out... drive carefully over bumps, or get the Eibach Prokit springs which only drop it a little over an inch.

i have eibachs sportlines and i tend to bottom out just the plastic piece under the front bumper
where theres dips but im using 17x7.5 et40 and 205/40/17 tires

and on hard turns theres fender lining rubbing i lost 4 fender screws already but i drive pretty hard sometimes

i think you will be fine if you use a higher offset wheel size and skinnier rim
and with the sportlines the car is more raked

heres some pics hope this helps

There are thousands of posts regaeding rubbing with lowered suspensions.
our rule is
wheel offset between 44 and 48 mm, tire size not exceeding 23.3" diameter and sexction width 205 max.

sportlines drop the car quite a bit more than prokit.... and prokit starts out with a mild drop but they tend to settle over time for a typical 1.5" to 1.8" drop.

You were right the first time: lower numerical offset with wider wheels. Just not less than 44 mm on 7" width.
