yah, i can not see myself driving my G as my dd.
i mean i know a lot of folks do, but the inconvenience is
just crazy. try loading up kids in the back seats. try
loading up a TV or even a set of wheels/tires. no way.

G stays as my weekend touring car dedicated for motoring.

the FitS's are fun to drive AND carry cargo + whole lot of great
things. can't ask for anything more.

imho GE's look better than GD in stock form but once
modded they appear about the same goodness to me.

I hate them both, the GD looks like an 80's disco car and the GE looks like a hamster, since looks isn't a factor the GE is a better car...nice logic huh?

who cares love what you drive drive what you love. GD GE C3PO, its still the best car in its class..

it is, but at least its put down properly, unlike in my gd, in which it has already started to tear up where there should be a dead pedal.

(lol at my 'already'. i have had my car for 2 years and 53k.)

nah. i still see the brilliance in my gd3. besides, if they improve steering feel and refine the engine a bit more, i can still see the mkVI golf one upping the ge8.

Wait a minute, isn't this a lot like arguing about which of the Steinberg fraternal twin sisters two houses over is a little less homely.......?.
I mean I almost had to put my beer goggles on when I went to the dealer to buy my GD and my GE. I mean these 2 fraternal twins know how to please a guy but neither is a raving beauty

Crap. To satisfy CARS requirements for the $4500 clunker credit, my daughter is going to have possession of the Fit for a yet to be determined amount of time. She has a long-haired white cat who sheds like mad. I can see that when we finally take possession, even if the GE upholstery isn't as bad as the GD, the car is going to need a major de-furring.

LOL my car would be long gone by then. it's 5yrs or 30K miles (or in Subaru's case too many warranty issues) whichever comes first for me. but i've had to change the clutch pedal cover rubber 2x already....and ready to change to my 3rd.

Done but not well done, because you actually only 'get it' if you have extended relationships (er at least a one nighter) with both sisters and go with the one that is the best for you.

Off topic, sorry, but with the av pic the gd ge c3po post earlier, I take it you are really into Star Wars? Good movie and it does add a powerful presence to your e-persona.

Back to Eldaino,

As you live with both cars for awhile it really sinks in that every part except for a very few are completely redesigned.

The GE is a clean sheet of paper redesign.

So to me it is remarkable that the 2 cars are really a lot alike.
They kept it to evolutionary changes rather than revolutionary, bravo Honda.

Star Wars? whats that? ahah, currently both my cars are white with black/gray trim, so they both have a Stormtrooper feel to them...it does make my e-persona kinda bad arse huh? but anyone on a car forum is not a bad arse I can bet my GE on it

This GD v. GE thing happens a lot on Forums. when I had an S4 it was the same...B5 twin turbo VS. B6 V8(btw Audi thought so much of a blown car they are putting out a supercharged s4 this coming platform)...blah blah...I think one of the hardest things to do is to improve a car without losing its loyal owners and I think the GE pulls it off, another great example is the improvement of the Audi TT...redesigned but still maintained its aggressive nature(more so now I think)...so this rages on like "does 87 octane hurt a 91 octane recommended engine" or "will my cold air intake improve my horse power"...so I guess at the start I chose to make light of it, which I thought was much more interesting than what I just posted a few sentences back.

GD, GE, C3PO, it matters not what others think since you are the owner, and you have to drive it.

Nice bottom line, I am not sure why the ?? vs ?? things rage on.
Maybe it is the what I have (or do) is better than yours
Kidding also, I like the look of the GE. It is boxy passenger space and they did a lot with it. And the gd aint bad either, it is just a plainer less daring design.
Just not a fan of the Cube/Scion low end kitchen appliance design school
Yeah Stormtrooper colors, bad ass but in a clinical sort of way.
