Any solution to soft gas pedal?
The gas pedal has very little resistance. I have some siatica. I find having to hold my foot up from the pedal causes discomfort.
It seems you cannot really rest your foot on the pedal as it tends to go down rather easily. This problem combined with what I find is seat too short for thigh support hurts.
Anyone else find this and if so any solutions?

There was a post several months back that described an individual that attached a long spring that he purchased from a hardware store to the pedal which added more resistance. A low tech solution to the problem. Check the search.

Thanks Dave. I found it by including spring. Couldn't find anything before. I am off to Home Despot and/or Crappy Tire for some parts -). Relief for my butt and leg pain. I will be able to do much more FITting now.

Before I did that though, I sat as far away as I could from the wheel, and sat more upright in an effort to keep my thighs as flat to the seat squab as possible. This helped a lot on my GD, but admittedly the driving position isn't quite ideal. At least the GE has a telescoping steering column to compensate.
I know it's slightly off-topic but I wanted to help you on the thigh-support issue.
