Fit n00b / show me modded bases!

Hey everyone!
Cliff's Notes: Getting a Fit soon, show me modded base ones! Preferably ones with a drop and wheels
So I've been lurking on the forums for quite some time, and have been on others (The Car lounge, G2IC, rx7club, etc). Just some quick info, I'm a senior at Frostburg State University, studying early childhood education. I've owned a handful of different cars including a 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle (sold), 1992 Acura Integra (sold too), 1979 Mazda Rx7, and 1992 Volvo 740 wagon, both of which I still have. The Volvo has racked up its fair share of miles and is begining to get tired, and I've been looking into getting a Fit to replace it as a DD, so the wagon can be retired to kayak / canoe river duties. I've shopped around a bunch and have test drove the xD, Yaris, and Fit, and overall I've settled 100% on the Fit as I was most impressed with its fit and finish, overall build quality, standard equipment, and safety. So, in the next few weeks I will most likely be purchasing a base MT Fit Still cant decide on a color, I'm leaning towards white, but considering black as well, we'll see! So show me modded bases, preferably ones with a drop and wheels, maybe a light tint, for inspiration! I look forawrd to spending some time on these forums, so far its been very insightful!

I would, but I don't know many dealers who would accept one with 215xxx+ miles Plus, the cars got character, its been in the family for a while, and can haul obscene amounts of stuff, its staying in the stable

Cash for Clunkers? Not sure if the Volvo would qualify, but its worth a shot. The Sport is so much more of a value than the base.

i totally agree with u... sports are a better value... but i personally like the clean look of a base over the sporty and a tad bit ricey front bumper/spoiler...

Very clean ride Dela...gotta disagree on the nose and spoiler though on the sport I think the nose is just right, not over done. Same with the rear spoiler. It's simple.

What's the story with your front end Dela? Looking at base Fits on Hondas web site yours has something in between a sport and a base. Larger lower grill with integrated fog lights? Are you not in California like your 818 suggests? Or is that aftermarket? Or have I had one too many beers???

lol haha... no its the stock bumper... except i got OEM base fog lights installed...

as for the larger lower grille... i painted the lower "grille" part of the bumper a satin black to match the matte look of the fog lights... i personally think all of the USDM bases should have a black grille like that... got the idea from the JDM bumpers...

stock USDM base

stock JDM

Got any before pics? Looking at the USDM it looks like they would have to cut the outer most section in the lower grill/nose area in order to install the fogs...

It looks damned nice regardless

Wow I hate base GE's but yours is very clean Dela.

The base front bumper is ugly as hell stock.

thats why i got a black one if your into sound than the sport is a go (more factory speakers) but if look at all the extra stuff you get not including body work its IMO a better bang for your buck

Thanks for the post! You're Fit is a great source of inspiration to me! I'm already looking at parts for a car I don't own After seeing your front end, I too plan on painting my lower grill section, and hopefully getting foglights as well. What is your suspension setup / wheel & tire specs?
Thanks again for the pic post!

ground control coilover sleeves on stock shocks, custom spring rates
(i plan to get adjustable when they become available)

wheels...
stock toyota MR-S rims painted satin black (im an ex-mr2 owner )
on Yokohama ES100
Front: 15x6 195/50 +42 offset
