ok lets see if i got this you well need to get the NAV plate to put in an After market unit but even if you get the controllers for the wheel they wont work on any aftermarket HU that i know of and yes moving the air bag light is no big deal and you should look at the FIT ICE fourm to see what others have done hope this helps even if just a little

As Blackout mentioned, see the FitICE forum for more info, but in short, Metra (one of the two main adapter kit makers) has an 09 Fit kit out now, which includes the new bezel with the airbag light at the bottom, and the assorted wiring harnesses. Crutchfield probably just hasn't tried to mount one themselves yet, so they aren't willing to claim that it will work. As per the FitICE forum, a number of us bought the Honda OEM Navi bezel and/or DIN cage, and bought an appropriate Metra Honda wiring harness that works (Accord I think).
Yes, unless you get the Honda Navi package, you lose the steering controls for the audio. While I would like to have them, it's not that big of a deal - the Fit is so small that everything is within easy reach. Some people looked into getting the OEM controls and adding them, but I think that the general consensus was that it would be way too much of a PITA, if even possible. As I recall, the non-Navi wheel is not prewired for it, so it's not just a case of adding the button module.
