sweet, thanks for letting us know, i think i would get those coils, depending on cost tho, we can probably setup a group buy with them if anyone is interested?

What were you expecting? It's a n/a 1.5l engine. The stock exhaust is pretty efficient for our econobox cars. Most people are after the sound if anything.

Just wanted to make it clear that I am in no way dogging on 2hp. Every bit counts!

Well you're the first to say it's too loud It's definitely more audible over stock but it has such a pleasant tone it's easily forgiven/overlooked. I would have been pissed if it had turned out to be another "fart can" that just draws attention to the vehicle. Reminds me of the stock exhaust on my '07 MX5...just a tad more audible. I like it alot and for the price it just can't be beat. 620+ for a Mugen axle back. 270+ for an HKS...and everything in between. Very satisfied with the sound/performance for the price on a daily driver.

If the GD application is any indication of how well the Tanabe will sound on GEs (similar engines anyway), that's going to be sweet. Just the right tone and volume IMO.

That's actually pretty good for an axle back exhaust on the little Fit motor.
Since we printed that story, we've added an intake and I'm dyno'ing again on Monday to see if there are any gains. Next months issue will showcase products from JDP Engineering, Zeta Products, H-Fit, and Circuit Hero as they've all joined in on Honda Tuning's Project Fit

I put a Takeda cold air intake on recently. Loving it so far, but we're interested in seeing if the butt dyno has any relation to the wheel dyno in this case.

I know this sounds crazy, but reflashing the ECU seems to be the way to go. I have read reports that an average car can get an extra 2 or 3 km\l with that extra HP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLvvxMCUo5E

The car is actually owned by Honda of America, they gave it to us on a long term loan (about a year) to modify and review, and I commute daily in it. Yes, it has a Honda Tuning sticker on the back window along with a few other sponsors of the Fit.
