Cleaning tip & installed armrest

Just finished cleaning up the Fit inside and out. I get annoyed at the marks left on the hard, vinyl, interior door frame from people scraping it with their shoes getting in and out. It seems that I can wash/wipe it and the marks remain. (Have found this in every vehicle I've owned.) Today I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and the interior door frames look like new!

I also just discovered within the last week that the top of the armrest (an added accessory) slides forward! Much more comfortable. Wish I had noticed that 7 months ago when I had it installed!

Ha sometimes mine slides forward without me wanting it to im tall so i sit all the way back. As for cleaning the doors great idea next time I give the car a cleaning ill be sure to get me a magic eraser! +rep

magic eraser is abrasive. That's how it removes those scratches. I'd be tempted to stay away from the paint, and I'd be selective with its use on plastics. Great discovery nonetheless!

If it's abrasive, it may damage the plastic in the long run... hmm.
Anyone actually have good suggestions to remove the things he's talking about? I get scuff marks from shoes all over my car door interiors.

Yeah that magic eraser is all smoke and mirrors. It will get rid of the scratches and marks, but then at an off-angle you'll notice the mess it left behind due to it being abrasive.

A product from Malco called "Red Thunder" and a nylon scrub brush will remove these marks and WILL NOT harm the plastic. GREAT CLEANING PRODUCT!!!

If you want a gallon of it. Sounds like a single post door to door distributor to me.
