First post - please be gentle

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I've had my GE8 since new in 2012. I've finally decided it's time to start doing some fun thing to it. Take a look:

- removed rear seats
- constructed bed frame and backing
- installed twin mattress
- constructed awning

since the video I've also
- removed front passenger seat
- installed roof cargo basket

next steps
- suspension upgrade and lift
- mud wheels
- mud flaps

I hope you like. Enjoy!

My passenger side went a couple days ago . left me in the middle of the road. I had a shop put a new one in , because I was dealing with a lot this week. I am proactively doing the drivers side myself as soon as I get the time.

Spent like an hour wrapping the glovebox because it was getting scuffed up cuz people can't keep their feet on the fucking floor. Gonna wrap up the door panels near the speakers next because they're always getting scuffed.

This is awesome! I was always curious what it would be like to build the Fit into an overland vehicle.

New Rims and Tires

Got my new lug nuts in the mail so I could install the new Rims and Tires.

Toyo Proxes r888r in the front.
205/55/16

rims are from tire rack

needed some sticky tires now that the engines been rebuilt and the new electronic boost controller lets me increase the boost

That glovebox sill...that's where my feet go in other people's cars.

Are you tracking the car?

R888R on a street car seem tremendously wasteful.

Waste of money in my opinion.

Adds a few HP and some intake noise. Worth it if supercharged, maybe?

I'd just get the standard K&N filter.

Not going to see any improvement apart from an increase in intake noise. You'd get a better increase in power going with lighter wheels. Less rotational mass means more acceleration, braking and turning performance.

Went with steering wheel cover #3...a leather sew-on deal this time. Went suede side out, as who wants a slippery steering wheel? The sewing was challenging, time consuming, and monotonous.

Also fitted a new shifter boot. Ended up a little long...but I wasn't about to do it again.

It still won't change the driving experience.

If you want it & can afford it, do it if you'd like. But if you want a noticeable change in how the car drives it probably isn't worth it.

Take the steering wheel trim apart to tuck in the wrap. I've done it once to my GK, twice to my dad's CRV and will be redoing another wrap to my GK soon.

I don't mind how it is, and I'm really not interested in investing any more time into it.

Those taillights make the car IMO, bought a set a few years ago, love it.
