It looks pretty good in person, definitely makes it look lower. I really really want a JDP lip but as much as I'm scraping on speed bumps already I'd rather trash a $20 lip than a $400 one

How was the install? Did you end up removing the bumper?

I noticed I need to drill holes but that part doesn't seem to hard. But I guess the grill is going to stay on for good.

Good to know I guess, but now its going to be a little bigger of a job than I thought. Man I wish I had a garage

Yeah I noticed that too...really thin plastic.

Is that time to paint my spoiler, I got some ABS plastic from ebay IMHO it looks good so I have 3 options:

1 - Getting a spray can of white plasti dip (knowing it won't match my taffeta white)
2 - Apply some coats of black matte. (cheaper route, would match my black rear diffuser)
3 - Apply black plasti dip of black matte (like above but more expensive)
4 - Have it wrapped with carbon fiber paper.

What do you guys think?

Here's the spoiler in question:

Forget the plasti dip. Take it to an actual paint shop to get painted TW it black. In the long run you will be much happier that it has actual paint on it.

That's should only be about 100-150 for the paint.

Awesome, I quoted and it's about $60 for matte black/matching tafetta white (teehee, perks of living in a 3rd world country, cheaper workforce). It's currenty unpainted, I might have it painted in 2 weeks (next paycheck, I've already exceeded my car budget for this month). I'm going to stick a mugen emblem on it just for the kicks.

I went to a local shop to have the spoiler installed, here's how it looks:

Fit is starting to look good. To-Do-List:

- Paint Spoiler either Matte Black or Matching Taffeta White.
- Thinking of installing some Nokya H11 artic white on my foglights.
- Get some JDM emblems.
- Get Side Skirts.
- Do something with the front bumper.
- Then wax and enjoy.

Looking good cajlog!
Lucky you. What country do you live in.

My recommendation would be gloss black. Matte can fade over time plus you can't wax it so there isn't any protection against the uv rays from the sun.

Somewhere in the Caribbean

Oh, I was thinking getting a matching Taffeta White but then, gloss back would look so good with the rear scuff and the black rear diffuser..

20 to 25ft of level surface. I use the side wall of a grocery store again as long as the pavement is level from the wall to your car 20-25ft away. Also the right beam should be 1 to 3ft higher. This is so the headlight will light up DOT sign ie speed limit, street names, interstate exit signs, and etc.. The left beam u wanna lower to the point you're under the vision of oncoming traffic (ex. 4 Lane high way you don't want the oncoming driver that's in the inside Lane).

I hope all that made sense. Ask away if any part did not.

Makes a lot of sense as I never thought about having the right beam 1-3ft higher. Thanks for the feedback.

Finally finished detailing the hatch. Sames as before. Had more time this time. Wife wasn't trying to hurry me up. Sealed and waxed the rear hatch window too. Goddamn JDP spoiler clear coat is failing left and right. Damn shame looks like he only applied 1-2 coats of clear. Bubbles are more apparent now. Either I reclear it next year or get something gawdy like the Takeros wing.

All's left now are the wheels and trim and interior.

edit: I also won a bid for a front passenger door panel on Ebay.

Any pics of how it looks? Just curious

Id say reclear it.. the carbon wing looks really good on your setup.. btw is there a easy way to remove the 3m tape without it damaging paint?

*edited to add picture for first post on page

got a bit of a free temporary lowering on the rear from all the limestone screening i was bringing home

ill take a pic tomorrow. its hella shiny though for what it is now. havent tried removing it yet, but people say goo gone and floss. dunno how well it will work since JDP used vht tape which is hella strong.

edit: thats one big subway!
