Stripped off the 50% tint and had 20% tint installed all around. Love the look and the heat rejection!

for those of you who have the JDP duckbill (or any jdp spoiler).. since it only mounts with the two bolts up top and 3m tape.. is there any holes left over from the stock spoiler?

if so, how did you cover them?

Installed Swift Springs today, and thanks to the prep work, everything went on smoothly.

Took the opportunity to weight my previous shock and spring and compare them to the Swifts and Bilstein damper

Bilstein PSS progressive springs + TEIN Street Flex Twintube Damper 9.84kg
SWIFT Springs + Bilstein PSS Monotube Damper 4.76kg

Total unsprung weight reduction: 5.08kg

German Damper, Japanese Springs, American Sway Bar. Its like the United Nation of rear suspension setup...

Installed rear splash guards (had to use 3M doubletape, clips wouldn't come off).

Since it uses the 2 factory mounting points at the top, I'm pretty sure the only holes left are the ones below those 2-- there's like 4 or 5 right? they're most likely just covered up by the spoiler. I don't have JDP but I do have a Seibon duckbill and I didn't really do anything to cover them(actually I wrapped the piece in vinyl to match my roof so the holes are plugged).

Some weird stuff going on with my gas indicator lately. Yesterday im on the verge on having the gas light go on, so i add about 4.5 L of gas. But after 5 minutes of light driving the light comes on. I only drove about 3 km after the top up, then maybe another 5 for the day.

This morning i drive into work (7km) and add 4.8 liters( im waiting for my weekly fill up where its a lot cheaper) start up and the light is still on. Drove home and later did my weekly grocery/gas trip( light is on the whole way). Finally do my fill up and the pump stops at 30L... So that means i had about 10L in my tank already and the light was on.. I thought it was supposed to come on at 6L. Strange.

I would say the most likely culprit is a faulty fuel float/resistor. If that is the case, the GE8 p/n is 17047-TK6-A00 and is $68 from Bernardi. At least that's the p/n and price for an '09. I've seen this problem on other cars before, not a Fit though.

Im gunna wait and see if this happens again. I did have my car sit for 2 weeks while i was on vacation with around 30% of the tank full. So maybe it just got stuck? Anyway, now that the tank is full it does read full. But thanks for the p/n.

New Tein Flex Z. Just released in August. I plan to write a review after they are installed, might be a few weeks before I have time.

Oh I see, well you won't have to worry about rust-- everything around the holes are painted. And those holes we're talking about have a piece of plastic on them that the spoiler clips onto-- I took mine off by breaking them but be careful because some pieces fell in the hole and it took a while for me to rattle them out lol.

Man, I wasn't a fan of their CF wheel, as I much preferred their now discontinued alcantara. But looking at yours.... looks very nice. Dare I say, exotic!? Any plans for the emblem as well?

Hello jdmj0,
I don't plan to put the red emblem.
I just worry if (knock on wood) the airbag deploy,
then that red honda emblem would fly like a projectile...

I mean unless the emblem came from Honda OEM,
I really worry if it is not designed for the airbag deployment...

just test drive the car, turn out, the steering wheel is not centered,...
oh well, need to take it out and recentered again hahaha

Not really a thing I did, but as of midnight tonight, I have six payments left! I'm so excited to not have a car payment so I can spend money on what will undoubtedly be maintenance items and upgrades.
