What did you do to your GE fit today?
I installed a billet grille in that location last year, around this time. I'll snap a photo. Is overheating a big concern of yours with this new setup?
Yep. In the cool mornings I'm still running <180, but when it gets up to the 60s I'm over 200 most of the time.
But it shows what an aero disaster the Fit is. That huge opening lets a lot of air in and ducts it underneath the car- which already has a bunch of air with nowhere to go. With the block the car cuts through the air much more easily. I think my next step is a panel behind the upper grille deflecting that air down so it'll go through the radiator. I'll see if that helps.

My Spoon mirror was starting to slip off. The two lateral tape they include don't even reach the OEM mirror, so only had the fat foamy tape in the middle holding it on. Added two layers of 3m outdoor tape and now the mirror is firm.
The Fit is a low end car with as much passenger and cargo space as Honda could cram into such a tiny platform. The fine engineers at Honda put a lot of thought into making it as good as they did, but you can only finesse the aero so much when you don't have any "extra" space or weight to play with. So an aero disaster is really the best you can hope for, given the other design requirements.
When you throw in marketing considerations (Hybrids must have higher mpg ratings than regular cars to justify the price jump! Econoboxes can't outperform the rest of the lineup!) we're lucky the Fit is as good as it is. Just a little bit of tweaking, though, gets a pretty dramatic improvement. It's going to take more work to keep the cooling system from getting too stressed, which I can see they didn't want to spend on their cheapest car that was already getting decent mileage. But they left a lot of mileage on the table when they shipped the Fit.
Does everyone else's Fit seem really unstable in side/high winds? Is there anything known to alleviate this issue? I'm in my 2nd week of ownership, and was quite surprised by it. I had a 2011 Yaris back when they were new, and hadn't noticed any issues similar to this.
*still love my Fit though

It is much less now after I lowered the car with coilover, put wider wheel and tire and front&rear swaybar.
The first time I got caught in crosswinds in my car was a bit unnerving since it literally jumped a lane on the highway. These were 60-90mph gusts though so I wouldn't expect that to happen to you. I still need to lower mine and get better tires since the factory dungflops on my "sport" are the worst tires I've ever had the displeasure of riding on.
I knew you would buy them after seeing mine, good luck getting those OEM's off!
Same here, no longer notice this issue as much after car was lowered

After seeing a fit with them at fresno I was worried because they weren't that dark and looked of poor quality (maybe fake). But after seeing your in person they looked great.
You are still Mr. Mugen
Haha wish I had seen this sooner. But I got all three large pads to stick to my mirror and it's quite snug. We'll see if it stands the test of time.
Simple solution: High pressure rad cap from someone like Spoon/J's/Seeker/Feels/M&M Honda. Bonus points for JDM street cred.
Put mine on last night as well, seems very snug too. I imagine a little heat during the warm weather will finish that bond.
Good to know I'm not the only one.
