That's terrible bro! I'm sorry to hear that. I hope to still catch you at the meet tonight, I'll be arriving a little late due to getting off at 7pm from Laguna Hills. Maybe we can all brainstorm a cheap solution for your repair

09/10 Waizzz? There is a TSB for those two years, and it looks an awful lot like my crack the dealer won't fix.

Cleaned up my headlights and made a DIY of it. Hopefully it will help somebody else out!

I also put the Fit's snow shoes on for the winter. They are General Altimax Arctic's.

*Realized this is the GE section after posting....oops!*

Finally finished claybar/hand polish/wax. Probably spent 12 hours total and was the most labor I've spent on car appearance in my life lol

The roof was TERRIBLE, so much nasty came off on the claybar. I will be waxing monthly now, I don't want to do that again.

I painted my pubcaps yesterday. 1 coat plastic primer, 2 color, 2 gloss. I'll let them sit a few days then maybe fine sand and polish before they go on the car.

Practicing patience right now as I am looking forward to the splash of color on my white car.

I think waxing monthly is a tad bit of overkill. As long as you use a quality wax you only need to wax twice a year, could do three or four times if you really wanted to.

I think due to the size to the window I will have to fork out around $300

2010 but it's not a defect, as you can see in this closeup it was caused by a rock then it just ended up expanding

I personally wouldn't go that high

For safety reasons you should at least see how high it gets after you do a drive. If it's expanding into 50psi I would go back to 35psi

Oh wow good for you, I can't do it all in one day. I normally will do a section at a time otherwise I run out of patience lol

Did you use a porter cable or just do it by hand?

Yeah I would agree, I do it quarterly since I park outside but even that is probably overkill

^^ Dang I didn't notice the rock chip, I thought it was just cracked. Sucks bro, spending money for no reason. I'm really thinking about getting the glass insurance from my provider now.

Totally agree on spending money for no reason but I at least now I can remember to give cars more space on the freeway going forward. Stupid bus last week in front of me must have kicked up a rock on the freeway

Caranuba is really only protecting your paint for a few weeks-month after initial application.

Synthetic could do well at twice a year.
