Installed my new (for Christmas) JVC KW-R900BT Head unit. Sound is so much better and the fit kit from Crutchfield worked quite well. Next is to hook up the Infinity BassLink sub. have the kit, just decided a 90 degree day would be good enough for the head unit. (I did attach and leave in the Glove Box the Remote Turn on and the RCA Cables so I don't need to pull the HU back out. I also have some Infinity Kappa components that never were installed in the Integra that might make their way into the FIT.

I did the grill mod today with the 1'x4' aluminum grill block. I didn't look closely enough at the directions some people posted so I ended up cutting it to fit by doing a sample insert with some cardboard, inserting the screen, taking it back out to trim it in a second time, and then it went in normally but it fit pretty snugly on the second insert, so much so that I only felt like I needed to secure it in the middle. Even if something does come up into the grill, the screen should at least deflect it if it can't block it outright, so we'll see how this works. I may get more adventurous in the future and take the whole thing off to do it right...when it's not 95 degrees out.

Manual transmission oil change with Honda MTF, smooth as butter again. No gunk on the drain plug and fluid was still pretty clear at 65k. I saw some posts on here saying the service interval was 30k or three years? Three years and 65k for me and it finally started feeling a little notchy so I thought it was time.

i tried to plasti dip my front honda emblem red on my jdm gg8 fit shuttle grill. had lots of trouble getting the spray into the recess and ending up pooling/dripping. had to wait and peel it off. i think i'll just let it be.

Take your grill out. get a flathead screwdriver and carefully jam that sucker in the slots and twist to pop them up so you can pull it out.
There are 5 or 7 for that top piece, then 4 for the grill. Get a small phillips screwdriver for corner screws of grill. Bumper is flexable dont worry.
then get a pick tool and carefully bend metal tabs from washer holding the 2 pins for front emblem.
Mine broke so my emblem is superglued on right now. I dipped it black, but a drop of superglue tore it off as I pulled my thumb away from positioning the emblem. I decided immediatley it wasnt getting dipped lol

Birthday this Friday so I picked this up
Also got a tv tuner which was so unnecessary. Then it was either a mugen rear view cover or a zero lemon for my note 2 and ended up with the zl. I'll get the cover eventually.
Bout to install the shifter tonight

Drove out with my crew to Osage Beach to watch some boat racing. It would have been a great day. Nice weather, curvy roads, nice food, and fast boats BUT on the way there a truck kicked a rock up into my windshield. Not sure what to do in terms of replacing it. Is safelite any good? All i've seen are mixed reviews. Its BBB accredited though.
