Just got done cleaning the last of winter off! Cleaned out all the clutter and cleaned off the weather-tech floor mats.

 

your masking is wrong, you're overlapping the tape against the wind, that's what it's peeling off. you need to let it go with the wind so it lay flat and won't lift.

taping should start at the top and work yourself down. drove this tape job 14 hours straight and held good. you need more of the sticky side in contact with the hood, 1/8" tape overlap should be fine

Finally bought a long enough hose to reach the driveway (outdoor faucet is at the back corner of house, ~100ft and opposite side of lot from driveway. Great design) and gave the red Fit it's first good hand scrub of the season! Perfect day for it, not a cloud in the sky. Also cleaned up the interior a bit. Girl was at work so cleaning the black one will have to wait.

Yea I got it on ebay for 45.99 the clazzios ones didn't look right to me. But yea i was going to pull it more but my forearms are shot, I thought installing them would be easy

 

Wash & detail. Treated tires with Armor All Extreme spray dressing on both inside/outer surfaces. Had to jack up and pull wheels for this, but wanted to check brakes anyway. Getting ready for fresh rotors/pads etc. Centric Premium blanks w/E-coating, Powerstop Z16 ceramic pads, Goodridge braided stainless lines kit. Also treated the CV axle and rack boots while down under. The Extreme formula really stays on for a LONG time, cheap care for rubber products preservation. $5 @ Walmart.

 

I picked it up. My very first Honda, and my first car that is less than 5 years old. Beyond excited. Tomorrow I plan to give it a full hand wash, as it's pretty dusty.

My fiance has been good with not buying purses lately so I've awarded her efforts with these for her Fit.

 

Congrats Carmen Sandiego, mine is 8 days old now.

I gave her her first wash.
- there were so many wax streaks from Honda and all looked like scratches,
-- but not a ding on her yet
- also the rust proof gunk in doors came oooooozing out in the sun
-- thank G. that none got on friend's driveway

and found 3 problems:
1) the cache-baggage is 300$ and has 4 inch gap from back seats,
- WT...... (there will be hell to pay at Honda again)
2) I can't get front seat to fold forwards cause seatbelt buckle is in the way
3) I can't figure out middle rear seat buckle
- there are 3 with big red buttons ( the releases )
- 2 shoulder straps at ends
- but, the middle one that should be retractable is like a red one but, with a small hole in it, even smaller than a USB hole???

But she's fun to drive, and drive it I do!

 

I installed my OEM door visors today. I'm really pleased with them!
