Did we ever figure out your job? Maybe a computer consultant? Someone knows at least a little about custom computer hardware.

Going to take the fit out for one last drive before the Rapture. I want to get one last drive in before the world ends.

Naaahhh... but I used to be really active on the pc/oc scene (moborg). Day job is in health care. It's what I do on the side is where I get funds for the FIT

and here's what I did lately... (I need a wash)

Did the DIY Mesh Grill at 5 AM (only time I can work on my car is when the wife and son are asleep).

Gave it a quick wash after too. Next up on the list is either the Progress rear sway bar or the D1 Spec ETC.

Gave her a 3 stage waxing.

There nothing better than seeing your reflection in a freshly waxed black car.

Tarting it up.

After reading this forum, I made up a list of "just gotta have it" modifications. They are now all waiting for our pickup date in August.
1. a locking Gorilla lug nut for each wheel; 2. nitrogen in the tires; 3. tinting windows (front "eyebrows"); 4. seat covers; 5. door sills and back bumper protector; 6. painted molding on sides; 7. rear mud guards; 8. arm rest with storage; 9. soft-sided cargo organizer in cargo area; 10. tire repair kit; 11. torque wrench; 12. metric tool kit; 13. cargo tray; 14. cargo cover; 15. front & back rubber floor mats; 16. tube of body paint for nicks; 17. Swiss army knife and flashlight for glove compartment; 18. hood bug deflector and 19. locking gas cap. Cost OTD: $19,880.

At first I thought your price was just for your list of stuff and I totally thrown off, then I realized it was including the cost of your car too. lol

Drove it.

Moved the driver seatback position one notch more upright and will try that for a few days.

Boring eh?

Well, yesterday I got it up to 100mph for the first time (must say it is very nose heavy with a full tank. Turning and breaking at 90mph is a bit hairy). Cleaned it since an entire flock of birds let loose on it Thursday night.

Today I am taking all the door panels off and running 16 gauge wire for the new tweeters (base model so no wires yet) and generally getting it prepped for the Alpine Type S SPS-600C's and SPS-500's that I have coming tomorrow.

Over the weekend I got my JDP grill and Shark fin painted and installed, re-built and installed my custom DIY intake and heatshield with support bracket, vacuum tube, and custom MAFS adapter tube aluminum insert with incorporated Velocity Stack effect.

See here for pics!

Washed it this morning. I may go ahead and buy a brand new Yakima rack tomorrow while REI has 20% off. It's only $335 new with Q towers, Q99 clips, 48" bars, and a viper tray mount. Then I would just need bar pads and I can buy a kayak.

Get the Wind Jammers (4) if you plan on running with just the rack on and nothing else. The jammers Seriously cut down on the howl of the bars. Get 2 if you are going to run a single bike rack up top. I did a test with the fairing and found a drop in MPg by 2-3mpg with just the fairing. (little/no difference in mpg with or without the rack on the roof - the fairing kills economy though, especially upwards of 50mph.)
