Got it up to 95mph on a back country road outrunning a sport bike. The bike chickened out around the one corner. I guess 80 around a 3 apex right hander with a crest at the second apex was too much for him.

Slip angles are what make even superbikes slower than underpowered cars in the twisties.

Depending on the kind of bike and the skill of the rider that shiz can get scary. He may have been approaching the extent of his ability on said bike and backed off realizing this.

Really nice and clean! Like the shoes too!

Got my radar hardwired today. Love not having the damn spiral cord hanging through the middle of my windshield and having my single power supply opened up again.

HID retrofit. Not as nice as I'd like. May redo in the future.

Lowered the Fit today

. . . but it should come back up after I remove the 24 full garbage bags of damp wood mulch.

Hey, who needs a pickup?

did you paint your headlights? i know the base comes with umm...blacked out plastic? what i was really curious about is how is the visability on the turn signals now with the reflector's painted? i've always wanted to do that. oh and yea, painted my OE muffler tip matte black today. now it dissappears under my JDP rear diffuser.

Thanks. If things went horribly wrong I would've got new headlights. I still don't want to mess with my ECU wiring though....

Yea I painted the reflectors as well. Blinker visibility is reduced.

Transcooler is finally in. Time to get some more dw-1 in that sucker.

I love the box, it's deliciously retro 90s. Hopefully it doesnt suck as bad as their filters (supposedly) but I mean its a tube and fin cooler, you'd have to be trying in order to screw that up.

Retro 90's? When did the 90's become retro? oh man... kids born n 1990 are graduating from college the next few weekends. CRAP I feel old.

As for the FIT, took the roof rack off

Found the following after a very un-scientific test. The Fairing sucks 2-3mpg off of the fit when installed as I had seen in previous cars. With the yakima racks, the bars HOWL with without the fairing but putting on wind jammers cuts down on the noise. Two jammers on the front bar works better than one on each. If I had 3 or 4 jammers, that would be much better noise wise but two on the front is doable without driving you nuts.

Drove to Tallahassee and back, taking I-10 on the way back. doing 80 in the Fit with 3 dudes, the acceleration is actually pretty decent at those speeds considering how 'underpowered' our cars are. I would also like to note that with my lowering springs, wheels and new tires, the cars feels 10x better and way more stable at high speeds. Stock at 80 is kind scary.

edit; Oh, and I got raped on MPG doing 80, like high 20s low 30s. 60 minutes at 4k+ rpm

Yeah going to Ruston from Baton Rouge the other night did that to me. I was doing a little more than 80 though...
