yeah honda wheel locks are only 2 sizes, theres a short and long one. when i had my gsr rims i put 2 different sets on.. i work at a dealer, those mcgards are a pain in the ass to take off, probably more so when youre trying to steal rims in the dark

The Honda accessory are McGard. Try Wheel locks. Looks like one size fits quite a few.

You need to make sure you push the key towards the wheel when installing or removing so it engages completely. Otherwise you run the risk of stripping the key.

I'm just saying..

Not to mention the possibility of someone out there having access to the keys for these in some way, knowing they are Honda OEM. This is why I went aftermarket.

IMO, locks keep the theft to only the top end thief... heh heh... with some percentage "locked out".

I'm now thinking of getting a second set just to balance the tire.

i know that, but i mean when stealing rims.. sockets have a hard time grabbing to mcgards (some guys pound sockets on to them)

GEICO was pretty good with the glass coverage in my case - no deductible. I had my glass done with Safelite and they ordered me Honda glass. They vacuumed out the glass fragments and replaced it under an hour. The replacement glass, however, took three days to arrive from Honda.

Same thing happen to mine(08) last year. Here is what I did got 4 dounuts drove it to honda and traded it in as is and bought a 08 civic lx 4 door. They bent the frame of the car when lifting up under the radiator. I live near you in NJ street park and going to get brand new rims so it could happen again. Take your beatin and dumb it. I loved my car for 4 months but not going to keep paying money so other people could have my rims.

friend had 06 civic with SI rims when they first came out, Alarm, wheel locks. All they did was pop the hood and discount the battary,They even left the wheel locks on the floor kind of like a smack in the face.

That really sucks! Wheel locks were the only accessory the dealer managed to convince me to get and I don't regret it.

I think I'll keep the key in the "secret compartment" under the back seat since it looks like they'll at least take the time to check the glove box.

My wheels were stolen with aftermarket Gorilla wheel locks installed. Every lug nut was a locknut. They didnt use the key, and none of the lug nuts were scratched or damaged. Still waiting on my car from the shop. Thieves will take what they want, lock nuts or not.

I would still recommend wheel locks, they deter everyone except the pros. A better alarm and a lower insurance deductible are the only options short of the Grand Torino approach.

i guess the reality of things is that some places, you just cant have nice things =/. Would red lock tite help? I'm sure it wouldnt stop them but maybe slow them down?

I think more people would switch to my anti-theft solution (base wheels with caps) before using lock-tite on the wheels. Then again, some people are rolling with no spare to lighten the load and save gas. Might as well go all the way on the self-screw job, right?

What honda should have done was make it 5 lugs. So the civic's and the tegs could not fit. Or atleast 4 x110 or something like that. I see about 4 to 5 old civics rolling on fit rims here right outside of NYC. I'm starting to see the new accords rims on gen 7's and older tl's. It makes me happy that I got my civic lx after mine was taken. I could not sleep at night thinking they could do this again.
