my experiment: Carbon Fiber overlay for Fit Emblem on the hatch
Tonight I made this:
It's faux carbon fiber that looks pretty decent in real life. I did it as a dressing for the otherwise plain emblem. I've got some stainless steel and carbon fiber jewellry I really like and that's what this reminds me of.
This was the first attempt. The next one will fit the FIT emblem a little better. I want there to be some chrome visible arount the cf, so it looks like an inlay rather than an overlay. I put it on in the dark, and it was cold, but I couldnt wait. This would probably look pretty cool using a color too.
I think if there's interest I'll start making these.
I also plan on doing one to fill the black areas of the big H on the rear hatch vinyl. I can do carbon fiber, or colors too if people want.
