The Official what wheels should I buy thread?
So ive 99.999% decided on the work XD9's in 17", now i just have till tomorrow (sat feb 28th 2pm) to decide on 47 or 53mm offset, 47 would be great with the 205's but I know for added insurance the 53 will be bang damn on! I wont have to worrie about anything!
Car will be lowered on Tanabe DF springs. Car is a DD and has to haul around the wife and baby soon enough :P
Here are the few Im thikning of!
WORK XD9, 17x7, with either a 47mm or 53mm to keep it bang on to oem spec which is what id personally want. (bronze)
Work CR Kra 16x7 44mm or 17x7 47mm (bronze)
Work XC8 17x7 49mm in either bronze or gold.
Work XT7 47mm in bronze
Enkei RPF1 II 17x7 45mm
So what are your thought, 17's woud most likely be wrapped in a 205-45-17 or maybe Ill go with the 205-40-17, knowing the better performance will come from the 40 series although the comfort will be much better on the 45 series not to mention, the car will sit .5" closer to the fender for the more dropped look on the 45profile :P
thanks
Ken

THe cr is well played out and i dont like the wheel with all the stickers on it and you take them off and it looks bad. These wheels on a car that can have a concave effect is nice but with our offsets, its just not possible. THe xd9's are nice forsure and provide a small lip front and rear while the xc8's ar ethe newest wheel and most dont like them as they dont look like every other wheel out there. Man i have to decide by tomorrow to get my extra discount lol :S
the wife wants me to get the cr's wile im on the other 2 mentioned up

r32 is a sick ride dude! I had a beautiful gti with many r32 parts on it,
The red ge is dope and damn i love the jdm front and rear bumpers, Nothing wrong with 16 although its a factory size so id liek to 1 up it

are you going with 17x7 or 17.7.5?
I think I'd want +47 offset and 45series. aren't the stock like 185/55/R16? I forget.
40series is a really short sidewall, and if it's gonna be a practical car, low pro tires isn't gonna help.
For reference, my 2008 R32 is 225/40/R18, on a 18x7.5 +51 rim (stockies) my works are 18x8.5 +45 same size tire and pretty much flush.
I'd go with the +47 cause once you lower it it will camber in a bit, so a 53 offset might look a bit sunk in.
