AVIC-F900BT or F700BT

I am considering installing either F900BT or F700BT. After I found out that there is no aftermarket battery available for the GE, the choice becomes obvious. I will not be comfortable watching DVD with the car not running. That tiny stock battery is not going to last. I think F700BT will be a more logical choice. Any comment?

Metra 99-7877. But I don't think it is available anywhere yet. Give it another month.

i would just go with 700bt and save couple hundred dollars. unless whoever install the unit for you can bypass the video playback safety feature then i would go w/ 900bt

The hardware bypass looks quite simple. See the following link for details.

I am planning to install it by myself. My main concern is how to hide the wires for mic and gps mouse. Would like to hear some good suggestions. (I do not need to tap in the backup wire since I am not planning to install backup camera. No need to tap into speed sensor wire since F700BT does not have that feature)
