Help from an Audio Expert..

For those who have some nice sounds in their car, I want to know what you guys have setup. I just bought my Fit 4 days ago, and I wanted to hook it up, but I have no idea on what setup would be perfect for the car. I know for a fact that im only going to run one 12". Any positve input is greatly appreciated

this is my setup:
-JBL GTO607c components, Kenwood: KFC-1661S coaxials / KFC-W2511 10" sub / KAC-8104D mono amp

the components and the coaxials sound very clear. The kenwood 10" i have is in a sealed box. I was running a ported originally and it was pumping out thunderous bass. But I didn't like the sound. It wasn't as clear across the frequency range.

I went with a sealed box afterwards, turned up the bass boost / gain on the kenwood mono amp. It's still pumping out very strong bass but at the sametime the sound is clear and its very responsive.

I also put b-quiet ultimate in the doors / trunk / hatch. So that eliminates a lot of noise/rattling issues

JL Audio 12"w3v2 in sealed enclosure
300w RMS Kenwood amp
2 Farad Power Acoustik Capacitor

Stock Navi Head unit - I routinely have the volume at 36 (out of 40) with no distortion. Some songs can hang at 40/40 and sound great. This is likely due to me having the bass turned ALL the way down on my head unit. The mids/highs sound excellent for a stock system once you add a decent sub, and I will likely keep this setup for at least a year or more.

For pics of my setup (post #9), and examples from a few other members check out this forum in the Fit ICE section:

stock deck. i didn't want to change the deck cuz i wanted to have a subtle looking sound system. the stock deck has enough power but if you want you can always run an amp for your door speakers as well

I'm in the process of building a full alpine stereo. I installed an alpine w505/P1 for a head unit with navigation, bluetooth, and reverse camera. Just need to mold in the trim ring for a clean look and refinish. I'll be running type-r 6.5 comp up front and type-r 6.5 coax in the rears. Then for the lows I'll be running two 10" alpine type-r in a custom fiberglass box to sit in the spare tire well along with a custom fiberglass amp rack to house (2) pdx-2.150(fronts&rears) and a pdx1.1000(subs). Its a work in progress which will take some time. I'll post pics when done!
