Navi worth the extra $$? NEWBIE Questions
#42
I remember complaining about antilock brakes and was afraid I would never be able pull stunts with locked wheels ever again so those cars were to be avoided. Then I found that my insurance rates were a little higher on vehicles that had no such safety devices and that the extra cost of the safety equipment was eventually recovered by the lower premiums. I would bet that as vsc becomes more standard your insurance company is going to take notice and charge extra to those who don't have it. The extra $$ spent now may save you in future.

If the brake assist was $800-$1000 by itself I would def order it up.

When I insured the Fit, my agent asked whether the car had VSA or not. Apparently, the two cars are rated differently. Through Erie Insurance (in Maryland), collision coverage on the VSA car is $82 less annually than the same car without VSA.
I consider that a material difference in price, and something to be factored in when deciding on the nav/vsa/steering audio package.
