My Intro: 2009 Honda Fit

Hey everybody. I just wanted to come in and say hi. I purchased a 2009 Honda Fit about a week and a half ago and I love it! It's a base model so it doesn't have certain things I would like, but it was what I could afford. I got it because I'm 6'5" and it's quite roomy, plus it gets great gas mileage and the cost of maintenance will be very low.

Oh, and this is what I just sold in order to get the Fit:

The biggest thing I miss is having remote keyless entry. I'm getting $106 back from insurance so I'm going to use that towards getting a remote keyless entry installed. I sorta miss cruise control too but that's not too big of a deal, I just drove to and from Pittsburgh (4 hour drive) over the weekend and I didn't really need it. And I miss having fog lights...but oh well.

Thanks! I didn't really want black, because I've had black before, but my only other options were silver or light blue and I didn't want either of those. White is actually the color I really wanted haha.

The Mustang was a GT, so it was an 8-cylinder, and it was fully loaded too. It was a manual transmission.

Ditto on the keyless. Can wait for that. Fogs should be an easy install though

Welcome to the forum bro. Seeing where you are at made me realize I am coming out to MD next month. We should try to get some people together from the DC Balti metro area somewhere and snap some pics of the cars, because your pictures are NOICE!!

Cool, I've got a base, too: SSM. I'd like to get some nice rims, but the only thing I actually miss is cruise. All the cars I've had with keyless entry didn't work until you were like 10 feet away anyhow.
Anyway, what's nice about the Fit is that people say it costs more than the competition, but it really doesn't. When you option up, say, an Aveo with A/C, power windows, and all that, you pay about the same price for an inferior car. . .

Are you going to take the dealer tag off the front?

Also, I like the visors, I'll probably be ordering them soon.

I'm also torn on the hood deflector - how do you like it?

The main reason I want it is I'm afraid of accidentally scratching the paint with my key, especially at night.

And a side note....I hit 1,000 miles today

so that's why your car needed detailing by a fellow fit freaker. I just assumed you were running the Paris/Dakar Rally on weekends
