So this is the deal my Honda dealer will give me on the new sport
I worked there at least 15 years ago, just when I was getting started into the scene so I gave them the first chance to treat me best. After shopping around they have although this is the best I can get, What do you guys think,
thanks,
(This is in Canada for those in the u.s thinking wtf, thats expensive) :P
09 white Sport 5 speed
They will not budge off the 19280.00 msrp, no one would in Ottawa.
Freight and pdi stay the same at 1310.00
But what I am able to get is:
Free,
cargo cover, Door switch pannel's, B pillar in cf, and hopefully the summer floor matts.
At cost I am able to get with no install fee:
sport pedals and body side molding.
then add *** taxes and its out the door, I go back in tomorrow to talk once more to get 100% final numbers.
*that's it and all, but as i found out, thats actually a lot compaired to what most to any other dealer within 200 miles around here would do.

Are they installing the cargo cover for you?
Here's the breakdown from my closest dealer (USD):
(without install, part only)
Cargo Cover: $151.80
B-pillar trim: $199.64
Switch panel trim: $126.04
Carpet floor mats: $91.08
---
(install prices, does not include part price)
Sport pedal (for AT, they don't show the MT): $56.00
Side molding: $84.00
---
Total: $708.56
I think that is a fine discount!!!

I just went to visit a pal that works at honda. He was able to see that the EXACT mark up on a 09 fit here in canada is 1147.00 This is what they make profit at full msrp for anyone that is wondering.
So basically they are giving me close to 700$ off and the other 2 at cost so in turn they are still making some money. Ill see what happens today at 2pm when i go back in to talk.

I will get the runnrs after forsure as well. Silly that there is nothing there. They are a easy install anytime. the cf inserts are just clean and simple.

The deal looks good, skip the summer mats, you will need the winter ones and they are better all around. SO, swap summer for winter. Can you get a couple of oil changes tossed in as well?
When I bought my 2008 back in 10/07 I was given zero, nothing, full retail, no deals. The times they are a changin'.
Personally, I would take winter mats, cargo cover, window tint including the "front eyebrow" and a front end clear 3M treatment. You will need winter tires and rims as well.

I can't tell if it is a good deal since I'm in the US. I got my Sport with cargo tray, tint, wheel lock, floor mat, sealants, Nitrogen filled tires in early Jan 09 for $17,400 US. After TTL, the out of the door price is about $18,800. When I looked at the Gen 1 Fit 2 years ago, the dealers were asking for $24,000. $16,000 + $3,000 dealer added junk + $5,000 market adjustment (what is it is that since many people wanted the car, they just slapped on $5000 premium since they think people would pay it). I walked out of the dealership and bought a Pontiac Vibe (Matrix clone) fully loaded for $21,000. My Vibe was rear-ended and totaled. So now I got the Gen 2 Fit for way less than the older less equipped Gen 1.

Well, don't forget the sill runners need to be installed when the ambient air temperature is 65F or higher, or else the adhesive wont hold.

So i went back and actually bought the car this time. They have no idea when ill see it but they are saying 1-2 months in which, im fine with.
They threw in for free with free install the cargo cover, b pillar in c/f and door inserts.
At our dealer cost with install they gave mesport pedals for 105, side moldings for 200, summer mats for 110 and winter mats for 144.
Cost of teh car stayed at 19280, full msrp but that is easily understandable with the savings and free items I recived.
I hear you above with why the winter mats are better overall but I think it will look nicer in summer with summer matts and winter with winter mats, that 110 extra is ni big deal.
They dont offer 3m here :S
I havte tint although I will tint this cafr when I get it.
Springs will be ordered, then a intake, hid install, and as muffler once a nice one from t1r is released.
For anyone that has already lowered the ge, Do you REALLY have to go threw all that shit to take off the front suspension or are you able to get a wrence in there enough to take the nut off? it looks like you can?
thanks
