Just ordered 2009 Red Fit-s
New guy here, I'll post pics of my car when we get it.
Just ordered my new car, 2009 Fit-s red with all weather floor mats and interior illumination. Can't wait to get it but its going to be a little while, have to wait for it to be built and sent over from Japan.
Not my first honda, I've had a 1986 accord, 1996 civic hb, 2000 civic 4 dr and 1993 civic si ls/vtec (still own that one).

Congrats.
yea...you will be modding this thing within the first month..
Do you know when its suppose to be delivered?
If you just ordered it I can't see it being any sooner than a month...possibly a couple.

Good luck man, I want to talk to my dealership yesterday to start to nail down pricing and they said to me, 3-4 months for a white 5 speed. But all good for me, no worries
One more dealership today and then I make my decision!

That's how long I waited for mine.

Be careful to periodically treat that paint with a high quality sealer. Unless Honda has changed their red formulation, you may end up with a very nice shade of Milano Pink in about 5-7 years.

Are all the 09 sports pretty much sold out at this point? I got mine in October of 08 and wanted an 08 but the dealership needed a sale so they upgraded us with an 09 for the same price of the 08 we wanted. Also i just saw Honda is projecting like a 33% loss for this quarter.

Ya they said that it will be 3-4 months and I understand about the milano red paint fading, I own a 1993 milano red civic si coupe.
I can't wait to get it, my current car is sold this weekend so we will be down to two cars and my civic isn't on the road right now. We'll have to share hers.

Significantly. It's also harder to take care of because, if Honda hasn't changed the formulation, it's a two stage paint and not a proper 3 stage. It has a flat red base and a purple-tinted protectant coat over it. It's both what gives the car it's rich color and poor paint life. If you wash properly (good soap, proper non-scrubbing strokes, and something soft like a microfiber sponge or horsehair brushes) and use high quality sealants (Zaino and Klasse come to mind, but NXT 2.0 will work), you can degrade the quality of the protectant coat. If you wash or dry that car with a white rag and the upper coat is aged, the rag will get a purplish tint.
Good sealants, hand washing with meguiars gold class every 2 months or so, quick detailer sprays inbetween, and the paint will last. Treat it like a honda white, black, or blue, and it will go bad quicker than the others

The other choice I had was for a build date of Jan 20, so that probably wouldn't have been in until March. I probably should have waited (for white), as I didn't need the car. Oh well.
But yeah, 7 weeks, Japan -> Midwest.
