DF210 or NF210

Alright guys/gals, I need your input. The wife has pretty much narrowed down her choice of lowering springs to either the DF210 or NF210. Since we are going to put on 18x7.5 rims +42 offset w/ 215/35 tires, I was thinking the NF210 would be a good choice, but I am unsure if it would be enough to get rid of the gap. I don't want to lower it too much for fear of rubbing so I am wondering if the DF210 would be too low. I was playing around w/ photoshop to give my wife a better idea of what it may look like and she was very happy. Any input would be great.

I have searched cannot find anyone who has lowered it w/ 18" rims. All the ones I found were either 16" or 17" rims.

Be a pioneer for us all, my friend. One of the GREAT things about this board (both GD & GE owners) is that we all love to help each other out, whether it be good/bad or right/wrong information.

With that said, the issue of rim size this, offset that, tire size this, measurement that, etc. etc... is really annoying. Most threads I've read contain alot of hearsay and guesses. Hardly ANY fact by actually stepping up and doing it. Personally, I'd LOVE to see a GE with an 18" setup

That's cool I don't mind being the one to pop the cherry, just wondering what others would put on. More than likely I am going to install the NF210.

Your photoshop would be comparable to a DF210 drop. NF's with 17"s and 18"s have a lot of wheel well gap, since you have to run a 40 series tire.

I don't think there is a big difference between the DF and NF's what .3"?
If the car is going to be a DD I would recommend the NF's. The NF's spring rating is only ~5% greater stiffness than the stock springs. Where as the DF's are 10-15% greater stiffness. If he/she will be riding on 18"s I would want the softer ride so I don't bend a rim..even though its not as low (only .3" difference).

Thanks to a couple members on here..(I can remember their names)
Pic of stock rims on Nf's

Pic of stock rims on DF's

Not a huge differance to me
I actually like the NF's stance better (Plus for me its my DD plus I need to be able to put stuff in the back sometimes)

Just my 2 cents

^^^ the second pic is my car hehe, but since you are running 18's at offset of 42 and width of 215, you might get some rubbing issues with the df's i have the df's and 17's and same offset and width of 205, you can put some negative camber, maybe you might not rub but you prolly have to put at least 1.5 degrees of negative camber, i have about .7 on mine so i dont rub.

With the DF210's, no rubbing and no need to put negative camber when you keep the stock rims and tires, right?

no need. when i put my aftermarket rims on tho i didnt rub with the stock camber at 0, i dont rubbed when i took extremely HARD turns, i just put negative camber so i can take those turns without it rubbing. i still rub here and there but not as much as before. i never rub just driving normally

I prefer coilovers, but out of the two, I would pick the DF210.

It's hard to really photoshop drops of springs. Your best bet is to have actual pictures like the previous poster has posted.

As far as aftermarket parts, if you can just wait it out for a bit, I'm sure the aftermarket will kick in on parts for the GE.

Patience my friend, patience
