Yea I am def. going with 17's. Even before I got my Fit I was looking at getting those SSR rims. I then saw your fit and rims after I bought my fit and fell in love. I must say you have excellent taste.

thanks. no i dont rub at all but in order for my car not to rub is to get a camber kit for the front so you can dial it in to negative 0.7 so it wont rub. its not so negative that it will make your tires wear out faster tho.

Don't forget to get your car aligned afterward. I just got mine aligned this morning. I thought it wasn't too much out of spec just from the way it drove..but the Toe was way out in the front. I didn't feel it because the front left and right were out equally. It would have killed my tires if I didn't get them realigned. I must say it drives alot better now.

Good luck! Post pics!

By get them aligned, I hope you mean your car And there is zero reason to have your car aligned unless you lower it. Even then with smaller drops of up to 1.5" geberally dont require it althoguh if you want to spend the money on it, go for it

I'm confused, your sort of contradicting yourself. You said there's no reason to align the car unless you lower it. But then you said a 1.5" drop doesn't need an alignment. So what's the verdict on this? Getting lots of different opinions here.

What AP is saying is that it isn't necessary to do an alignment with a minor drop (1.5 or less).

But I disagree kind of, because before lowering my car(civic) I occasionally aligned my car when it was bone stock. To my experience, it's not much to align the front, but the rear is the one that gets wacked out for some reason. When I lowered my civic, the rear looks like it was holding in a pee lawlz.

AP is right...usually with small drops of ~1" or less your car doesn't need an alignment but it doesn't hurt to get it done. I do it just to be safe and save my tires just in case toe is wack (what really kills tires). $70 is worth it to me for a peace of mind.
With my CL-S I dropped it on NF's (1.0" Front .5" back) and yes the camber was slightly off but nothing that was going to screw anything up.

As for the fit. The fit uses MacPherson strut assembly which saves tons of space for the front but when you lower the car it tends to throw out the Toe. My Camber and Caster was fine of course (no adjustments on the fit) but my Toe was way off in the front.

Toe Front:
Before After
Left -0.27 deg -0.02 deg
Right -0.24 deg -0.03 deg

It still tracked straight but that was because the toe was off setting itself on both sides but my tires would be dead in a few thousand miles.
Now my tires are safe as well.

THANKS!

ha ha...sorry I would if I had all the tools.
My buddy down in Wilmington has the garage/air tools/jacks/experience and such.
It would have been a pain in the ars to do it on my own.
If you are really really serious I can possibly arrange something though. I would have to check with him.
