Protecting door sill?

Looking for some ideas. I installed Honda's Door sill trim, but it still leaves a good part of the sill exposed.

I found that even over the first few days of having the car I started seeing scratches on that part of the metal.

Is anyone else having this issue, and if so what are you doing to protect it?

I was thinking about trying to get some clear bra like tape to help out. My other Honda's have plastic covering the entire sill area so it's never been an issue.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

the only thing i can think of is the clear M3 tape.
you can't put nothing else there. cause then the door
wont seal properly.

yah, if you have people that wear boots often or kids that climb into ur
car using that sill as a step you'll want to get some clearbra on there.
