Question 2009 fit throttle overrun

Hello fellow fits,
I love my fit but what's really annoying is the surge of rpms that occur when I'm up-shifting (manual trans). It's most notable around 3000 rpms and does not happen when the engine is cold. The tach actually revs up about 200 to 300 rpms during the shift eventhough my foot is off the gas pedal. This makes for really slow up-shifts when trying to match engine to trans speed. Any thoughts? Thanks.
